Rnd 20 - Brazil Grand Prix : RESULTS

What a race! My very first F1 race victory anywhere. I was close to win the first race of the year in Australia, but mechanical failures did me in.

Q1 - Over 1 sec off he pace but made it to Q2.

Q2 - Waited to the very last minute to go out but made a mistake in the second sector so abandoned the lap, had fresh rubber to start the race back in 9th.

Race - Had an OK start, a couple of people went off the track, passed one car and with the penalties others were serving found myself running 5th behind DC, pifive, J and KIT. DC Pits early, very early and I am thinking he must have hit some one. Then P and Kit pit and then around lap 20 J pits so I am thinking these guys are doing a 2-top race while I am stopping only once. Stopped at the end of lap 24 behind P and after a couple of laps he goes off a bit and went for it and after blocking him a little bit was able to open a gap.

Later Kit pits again and now I am running second about 5 secs behind J and with the laps winding down he still going so I thought he was going with 1 stopper but the with about 12 or so laps to go he dives into the pits, I was about 6 secs behind at the time now I am leading with J about 15 secs behind. It wasnt long when he started to gain good chunks to time, but I new that if I kept the car in the black stuff he was going to run out of laps and sure enough he did, beat him to the line by 4 secs to my first F1 victory!!!!!! I crossed the line with arms up in the air screaming.

Great race all, great year, congrats to Mukky on his championship and to Spidey and KIT for the championship podium finishes and to all for a great year of racing.
